Our Camping Vacation to Jackson Hole Wyoming

We went to Jackson Hole and stayed a week with the Warners at Coulter Bay near Jackson Lake.

 The Teton Mountains were spectacular.

Fishing at Whitney Lake in the Uinta Mountains

Paul Stetler, Richard Barnes and I went fishing at Whitney Lake on July 11-15.

Of course, I caught the biggest fish!

For the first 10 days I muched the doe and added some flour, sugar and milk.

Then on day 10 I added more flour, sugar and milk and mixed the doe and added chopped pecans, chopped dates and shredded coconut.

It turned out great and it tastes really good!

The 2011 Leslie Jackson Family Reunion

Our hats off to Don Jackson for organizing another very successful Jackson Reunion.  It was held at the park near Don's home in Salt Lake City.  Everyone seemed to have a wonderful time!

This is a newer version of our family members who have served in the military.

Thanks to a wonderful response from our family members I was able to revise our Military Collage and add several new family members to it.

My Front & Back Yard Spring Flowers

This is what all of the snow and rain did to my flowers... Not Bad!

And just in time for Mother's Day!   Happy Mother's Day!

Today May 2, 2011 I spoke at my good friend, Marlin Imes' funeral in Ogden.

Marlin was a Korean Vet and he was given full military honors and his wife Lena Imes was given the American Flag which draped his casket.

Canning Cheddar and Nacho Cheese

On Friday April 29, 2011 I decided to can Cheddar and Nacho Cheese.

Heating the bottles for 20 min. at 250 degrees.  Then fill the pint jars.

Put the sealers and lids on the jars and then put them in the canner for a 20 min. boil.

 After they boil for 20 minutes they are done.  Cool them on a rack

and label and put away after they cool.

I was able to can 18 pints of Cheddar Cheese and 6 pints of Nacho Cheese.

I learned to can Butter!

Get the pint jars.

Unwrapping the butter and getting it ready to melt.

Melting the butter and bringing it to a slow boil.

16 pounds of butter went into 16 pint jars... not bad in just 4.5 hours.

Getting Ready for the Family Reunion

We have been getting the Family Park ready for this year's Family Reunion.  Here is a new cabin we have just completed building for the use of the family.  It is 11 X 23.5 feet and has several windows and we still have to build a few thing on the inside.

Here we are leveling the ground and building the foundation to the cabin.

Next; the walls went up and then we started on the roof.

We took a break for lunch and then back to roofing the cabin.

Next we installed the windows and here it is all finished.

Now we have a little work to do on the inside to make it livable

and ready for the 2011 Farnworth Family Reunion!

Next we did some work on a front deck and outside trim.

Disneyland - The Happiest Place on Earth

I went to Southern California with Tim and Katrina and their three children. We stayed in Las Vegas on the way there and then visited with my brother Jerry and then we visited Jonathan. Then we spent five full days at Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure.

We went to the M & M Factory and I bought an M & M Peanut Pillow.

Kyra, Tyler and Karissa had fun there too.

Jerry showed the kids his 1932 Ford he built.

Next we went to Disneyland and the Small World music is still ringing in my head.
