Disneyland - The Happiest Place on Earth

I went to Southern California with Tim and Katrina and their three children. We stayed in Las Vegas on the way there and then visited with my brother Jerry and then we visited Jonathan. Then we spent five full days at Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure.

We went to the M & M Factory and I bought an M & M Peanut Pillow.

Kyra, Tyler and Karissa had fun there too.

Jerry showed the kids his 1932 Ford he built.

Jonathan just finished putting in a new patio.

Next we went to Disneyland and the Small World music is still ringing in my head.

March 11, 2011 Largest Earthquake to hit Japan 9.0; then the Tsunami Hit

This is dramatic video of the first tsunami wave to hit Japan.

Grafting Peach and Plum Trees

 Cut the new peach branch to be grafted onto a plum tree.

 Prep the plum tree and insert the peach branch to be grafted in.

 Wrap the graft with tape and secure the new branch.

 Dress the grafted area with plant dressing so it will heal.

This last one is a smaller graft of two types of peach trees.

I made More Donuts!

This time I made Krispy Kream Donuts

After letting the dough rise I rolled it out and cut the donuts.

It made 3 dozen donuts.

I love to eat the holes!

I made a variety of toppings.

I was creative and even made pudding filled donuts!

Sweet Potato Pie!

I love Sweet Potatoes... so here goes my first Sweet Potato Pie

First I mashed the yams and then put on a

layer of brown sugar and chopped pecans.

 Next I put in the marshmallows and

another layer of brown sugar and pecans.

 Here it is already to go into the oven.

Now my mouth is beginning to water!

Here it is hot out of the oven and only minutes from my tummy!

My Mother's Donuts

When I was a small boy, my mother made nearly 1000 donuts a day that we would go out and sell so our family could make ends meet. I have my mother's recipe. 

We got a wonderful Kitchenaid last month.

I just had to try out my mother's recipe!

I mixed and rolled it

Cups make a great cutter!

and a small prescription bottle cut out the centers nicely.
