Family Park Clean-Up Day

Wow!  We had a wonderful turnout for our annual Family Park Clean-Up Day.

As you can see, we had a lot of family members come and we

mowed, trimmed, and gave the whole park a face-lift and

it is now ready for the 2012 Farnworth Family Reunion!

We ended it with a real fun and tasty BBQ!

Expanding the West side of the Family Park

As our family reunion grows bigger we are expanding our Family Park.

 First we developed the East side of the river.  This is the main camping area.

As you enter there is a East entrance (Left) and a West entrance (Right).

Above is the East Lower camping area improved and widened.

Last year we built the shed on the upper East main area.

This year we widened the West entrance and made it more accessible.

Then we widened and cleared the West side camping area and cut a road down on the South end.

Mowing and Preparing the Family Park

I did some mowing and trimming of our family park today.

Braden mowed a lot of the main camping area.

Matthew mowed the West side of the river and did trimming.

Just a few more weeks and we are ready for the Reunion!

Our Family Park - April 14, 2012

We are getting it ready for the Farnworth Reunion in June.

It is really looking great this year!

In just a few weeks and it will be covered with cousins!

Getting Ready for the Reunion

We met at the "Family Park" and looked it over.

The snow is all gone and it looks very inviting.

The stream is crystal clear and probably teaming with fish!  I wish!

In just 8 more weeks and we'll all be there for the reunion!

The 2011 Leslie Jackson Family Reunion

Our hats off to Don Jackson for organizing another very successful Jackson Reunion.  It was held at the park near Don's home in Salt Lake City.  Everyone seemed to have a wonderful time!

Getting Ready for the Family Reunion

We have been getting the Family Park ready for this year's Family Reunion.  Here is a new cabin we have just completed building for the use of the family.  It is 11 X 23.5 feet and has several windows and we still have to build a few thing on the inside.

Here we are leveling the ground and building the foundation to the cabin.

Next; the walls went up and then we started on the roof.

We took a break for lunch and then back to roofing the cabin.

Next we installed the windows and here it is all finished.

Now we have a little work to do on the inside to make it livable

and ready for the 2011 Farnworth Family Reunion!

Next we did some work on a front deck and outside trim.
